Brief Description of the Office
IT Audit Directorate is one of the seventeen audit directorates under the office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Bangladesh. This Audit directorate is responsible for carry out IT Audit of all information systems now used in public sector of Bangladesh. Government organizations are now using information systems to do their day to day tasks. Checking the integrity of IT systems and its functionalities are important issue as an Auditor. In this perspective, SAI Bangladesh has re-organized its audit directorates and a separate Audit Directorate named as “IT Audit Directorate” is established for conducting Audit of IT System used in various government organization on 18th November, 2019. The objective of this Audit directorate is to conduct effective IT Audit of all information systems used in government organizations in order to ensure value for public money and provide reliable and objective information to stakeholders.
